The Goh Residence, designed by Elpis Interior Design Pte Ltd, is a testament to the fusion of modernization and tradition. This living room in the Goh Residence features a stunning industrial minimalist look. The unostentatious walls serve as a canvas for the understated concrete texture, which is a staple of the industrial look. The lacquered wood bar table with its sleek brown finish, along with the classy leather sofa and area rug, act as accent pieces that cap off the whole design aesthetic elegantly.
The design of the Goh Residence is characterized by its neutral and airy color palettes, simple and streamlined furnishings, and a sense of functionality and ultra-clean lines. The goal of space planning in this design is to create efficiency, sticking to the trend and avoiding unnecessary additions. The Goh Residence measures 9100mm in width, 11600mm in depth, and 10300mm in height. It is a residential apartment that showcases the principles of industrial minimalism, space-saving techniques, and a modern fusion of design elements.
This project was started in June 2019 and completed in August 2019 in Singapore. The design team, led by Lim Jia Ki, overcame various creative, technical, and research challenges to bring the Goh Residence to life. From the dining island that introduces a feeling of composure within industrial minimalism to the modern kitchen concept with built-in appliances and flushed cabinets, every detail was carefully considered to create a cohesive and visually striking design.
The Goh Residence has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Goh Residence stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.
